I want to be able to access my SQL Server on my computer from another computer on the network.
Both computers have SQL Server installed now I just need to know how to configure the Host system and what ports I need to open on the firewall for example.

I’ll occasionally host a server on TF2 and Gmod for 2-3 friends of mine. Lately we’ve been playing Minecraft. This doesn’t seem to be too hard on my connection, but everywhere I look, I see people paying a decent bit of money for a server. Does it cost anything to run the servers I run from time to time? Will it have any negative effects? Sorry for the dumb questions. I don’t really know too much about this sort of thing
A game I play online offers the option of downloading all the images used in the game onto your computer, and then loading them from your computer instead of the server, which both speeds up your playing experience and the server overall. However, I have not managed to get it to work with Google Chrome. I’m hoping that someone here knows of either a setting to try or some other way to fix it, or can maybe just explain to me how the process of loading off the local computer works so that I can go about figuring it out myself.
